Our Founder
– Tumi Mthembu
The bubbly and driven woman behind WomenCan. She launched WomenCan to be an innovative women empowerment platform aimed at unleashing the untapped potential of women and to create a community where all women can thrive. Tumi is the founder and managing director of Envision Brand, a 100% female black owned integrated communications agency with 14 years of experience in the field of marketing and communications. She has expertise in strategic communications, reputation management, public relations, crisis communications, events, sponsorships, talent management and stakeholder relations and her role is to protect and enhance the reputation of brands.
Tumi has worked as a marketing and communication specialist for multinational brands across a broad spectrum of industries such as I.T, FMCG, healthcare, sports and motoring. Her agency, Envision Brand has established platforms such as Expressions, which is aimed at facilitating new opportunities in the arts through a focus on assisting artists with brand development and management. Tumi holds a BA in Corporate Communications from the University of Johannesburg, Certificate in Brand and Marketing Management from Vega School and Certificate in Digital Marketing from AAA.
